    Default New forum organisation

You'll have noticed two new forums, Mod discussion and Modding questions.

Basically, the name says it all: Modding questions replaces the general forum, ask questions and post research etc.

Mod Discussion is an extension to the forge. You may ask why, I hope this will explain:

Recently there have been a growing number of mods who prefer to post regular updates than to keep one thread running. The purpose of the Forge has always been as an information base. But increasingly, people have been posting multiple threads.

Also, many mods may want separate threads to discuss certain aspects of the mod. For those mods who don't have their own subforum, it can be very difficult having all the info in one thread.

    So this is the ideal:

The Forge should contain one thread for each mod in development. This thread should be a central info thread, containing screenshots, descriptions and any previews or demo downloads.

Mod discussions should be the place for discussion of completed mods, mod updates and questions about mods either in development or completed.

Modding questions should be for questions about modding in general and research into new techniques.

And of course the Scriptorium should be for modding guides, tutorials and tools.

Hope this helps your understanding and I hope the system is easier to use.
