    Finally!

Tell me when you can easily beat up a superior AI army at expert.

Then I'll help you with MP...

Info on sp is plenty of here in Sword Dojo... for instance check 'Takeda Campaign' 'Oda Campaign' 'A shogun puzzle with the Uesugi' and 'Takeda Clan'.

those threads are rather recent, good sp threads. might take a little time to find them all. there are also more specific threads on several subjects.. just look at this forums history.

edit: here's a challenge for you:

    #####

    The Monk Rush Challenge

To devise a tactic using a 'balanced' force to combat a Monk Rush.
A Monk Rush is a tactic favoured by many players.

They simply start with monks only, line em up and rush.
Monks have an enourmous moral bonus, not reflected by their initial cost.
This tactic cna be - to put it mildy - Devestating.

I would like to take this chance to thank everyone for their input, advice and suggestions.
If the tactics discussed here make coping with the monk rush not so apparently hopeless for novices - like myself - then novices are more liikely to continue playing online.

    So
    The Rules of Engagement.

    1. - 5000 koku each
    2. - AI = 10 monks by Honour 2
(we'll get harder as we work out tactics)
2.a - (as per suggestion by LinkShumeisan
    - and observations by Obake)
    then try same tactic against,
    : AI = 16 monks Honour between 0 and 1

    3. - You can pump your units up to whatever honour you want
    within the 5k-koku limit.
    4. - You can use no more than 4(FOUR) units of monks yourself
    5. - Your Monks can be no more than Honour 4
    6. - Screenshots of setup and victory (post to web)
    7. - Totomi! - the plains of death!
    8. - Summer
    9. - Normal difficulty - Hard - Expert - your choice!
    10. - Provide Force compositions, honour levels and tactics used
    11. - a battle log file for examination (post to web as zip? - optional)
    12. - Defender = Human

Ok I'll try it out, and If I have a serious problem with my campaign I know where to solve it.
btw I have read a post of you where you say that you hate Hojo, I'm Hojo myself and I think they are the best

Hard to say who's exactly the best... IMO Hojo and Uesugi are the easiest to win... at least in SJ staring period. Perhaps in the other starting periods they are not the best, or only one of them is.
