    Default Trade fleet oddity

I just noticed this, but i had a trade route going from Thessolonica to Athens, and i was casually flying over said area, when a trade ship caught my glance, and suddenly seemed to disappear. So i waited for a bit, until the next trade ship came along on its merry way. It reached the same point as the previous one, and in less than a second, it went vertical like a sinking ship and vanished.

Any explanation? Or are my files just a bit messed up?

Are you sure you haven't taken any drugs?!

Very odd, I don't think anyone experienced something like this.

    i've seen this happen often.

some trade ships venture too close to the coast or to an island and they spin out of control and wreck.
there are islands just north of Athens that seem to be a lot of trouble for trade fleets.

That's precisely it! They got too a long island, went too close, span around, and whoosh! They sink.
