RTW MP Campaign - The game has begun!

what version of RTR am I looking for exactly.
@Krek, sorry to be asking so many questions, I'm just trying to make this mod work to it's best ability (like most of us are). You recently posted that we need RTR light mod v1.00 but in my searches I have found no RTR mod labled like that. Just 5.4, 5.4.1, 6.0 etc... am I looking for one of these?

Bleda, don't worry about asking questions. Things witch people refer to as being 'easy' are only 'easy' when you understand them.

So I'll answer your question for everyone since probably more people have problems:


TO EVERYONE:
(sorry to yell)

We are NOT playing Rome:Total Realism (RTR) as you may be used to! (like v5.x, 6.x or the future 7.x)

Hellenes and DestroyerOfHope have made a NEW mod, witch is based on RTR. They have called this the RTR light mod.
They have done this so we can play a balanced game for all factions, and use some ideas from RTR without everyone having to download a mod that is 200+ MB.

So: RTR lightmod v1.00, v1.01 or v1.02 are NOT the RTR as we now it.

So, once again an explanation for what to do:
(you only have to read this when you haven't read all the posts by Hellenes about it and followed his instructions)


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MOD in seven steps:

Start without any RTW related products on your Harddisk (clean install):

1) Install RTW (by C.A.) from your CD's.

2) Download and install RTW patch v1.03 (by C.A.)

3a) Download RTR light mod v1.00 here:

3b) Install RTR light mod v1.00

4a) Download RTR light mod patch v1.01 here:

4b) Install RTR light mod patch v1.01

5a) Download RTR light mod patch v1.02 here:
http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/Rt...P_MOD_1.02.rar
5b) Install RTR light mod patch v1.02

6a) Download descr_regions.rar here (witch probably should have been called patch v1.03):

6b) Install descr_regions.rar (in your 'Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/base' folder)

7) Delete file called 'map.rwm' in your 'Rome - Total War/data/world/maps/base' folder, or you won't be able to train new units!
