Default v1.3 How to Mod for a Unified Rome

I am trying to do as simple a mod as possible to get a RTW "Unified Rome". I don't want to change anything else, just the ownership of the provinces and eliminate the other two factions and senate.

I played the "Vanilla Unified Rome Mod" in the past, but it doesn't work since I bought BI (I've since done a clean install), and given the "1.3" improvements I really want to do this as simply as possible w/o all the other ton of changes.

I've tried to confine my changes to the descr_strat.txt file, and I got it to the point where it doesn't CTD, but I just get a loop when I select the faction (Julii) and try to play-- back to the campaign selection screen.

Can't help but think I'm missing something very fundamental, like another file I must modify or something. I've searched thru the forum for clues, but nothing quite seems to fit my situation. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Swordsman

Well, I partially fixed it. Played a couple of dozen turns then it seems to randomly crash. Once when a Spanish diplomat tried to do something with the Gauls, another when the Gauls tried to besiege one of my cities.

Didn't think anything i changed really had anything to do with the above-- but obviously I'm wrong.

    A little help please??

    Thanks,
