    Question Region Modding: Roads

Read this tutorial and just have a couple of questions regarding editing / creating new regions.

Once you've placed a new settlement in a new region (as with Yerevan in the tutorial), as long as the port and the settlement are in direct line of each other (ie no mountains etc in the way), will a road be automatically created to link the two together?

Also, when a new settlement is placed, are new roads automatically created to link with existing regions? Or do you have to mod roads in another text/tga file etc?

    Cheers

Somewhere - though I´m not certain where - it has been stated that roads are generated automatically between two cities. They better be, for there´s no such thing as a map_roads in the worldmap directory, but considering I´ve been playing mods which extended the world map and had roads in the new regions, I´d take it as a save guess that they´re generated automatically.

Yep. The auto-generator sometimes works a bit oddly, though, particularly where it has obstacles to work around.
