is more like a fad, it will eventually sink
In the mean time, I listen to modern rock, just not lately

Likely a fad, yes.
It seems like Classic Rock is the most favored music at the ORG. with 10 votes. Modern Rock is second with seven.

Ok, my vote goes to classic rock, even though my favorite band is Metallica, with Offspring coming in second.....(Iron maiden 3rd ;))
Classic rock e.g Zepplein, Maiden etc just has no equal, i'm talking psycadelic guitar solos man!!!!
(w00t 800 posts!!)
I listen to music in the transition area between(heavy) rock and metal. Don`t know what to call it, so I go with this:

I like the Guitar Gods the best.. Hendrix, Page, ect.. They fall under the Classic Rock label.

Not as many as you would think, most people over here are in to Rap, it pathetic, good metal like CoB is pertty much underground music here still.
I must vist Europe and Finland some day, what some of Europe lack in politics and policy it makes up for in great people, music, fruendliness and culture

. Actually I like Touch Like an Angel of Death the best ( Lake Bodom is a great song though).

I see. Metal isn't so popular here either.Well Him is quite popular, but I don't think it is a metal.
Every CoB song is great, except the most of the new album and some others.
Btw, here is some information about "real" Lake Bodom:

What the heck. Went for Indie Rock in the end, since that's the closest I could get to fitting in some of my favourite bands: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Friends of Dean Martinez, Explosions in the Sky... but there's so much more that could easily fit in one of the other categories. Choosing a favourite music genre just doesn't do the music justice.

you write god music?
Are you a god yourself or do just work for them?
I voted PunkRock but my second vote
goes to Jazz. (seriously)

I cannot tell you how much I disagree with that statement.

Why?
I suppose i like modern rock if that includes incubus, angelfire, primus, chilli-peppers however i like a lot of "funky stuff" aswell so a bit of a difficult poll, i agree with the 2 types of music idea (good, bad) as its very hard to define the music into clear catagories without excluding some of the more "vague" genres
Rock (classic and modern) and other alternative music.
But if I really have to choose I'll go with Modern rock >80, because of the 90's really; I'm not a real 80's fan.

Well, you live in Florida... you haven't been listening to metal for very long, have you? Not to sound condescending or anything, but humour me.

Metal has been my favorite for a long time. It just seems ( it probably just me) the metal it itsself has'nt gotten quite the recognition it deserves in America. Among the other people I know that listen to metal CoB is well known, it just that where I am most people are either into rap, alternative, or pop. It's probably just my pesimistic attitude. And yes I humor you

How long are we talking?
I disagree. The "metal" that's played on the radio and TV isn't metal at all. The real metal is underground and that's how it should stay.
ArcticSonata 04:36 10-11-2005
You are totally misunderstanding me and I am getting really confused> In all honesty I like metal in a way not being mainstream, but I still don't think metal get enough credit. What I was saying that most the bands I listen to and that Includes CoB Are pertty much underground in the US. I don't know about you but where I live I can never find them on Radio or TV. And I agree most mainstream meatl bands suck. But did'nt this al start with me saying that I thought CoB was Undergund in the US
