I tried the same thing with castleflags.bif, attempting to add a 21st flag for a new faction in order to investigate the problems spmetla was having with his newly discovered FN_FREE_xx factions.

I downloaded the newer Shogun 2.1 editor, split all the frames into 20 BMP's, copied one, edited it, then re-built all 21 BMP's into a 21 frame BIF again. Unfortunately all the colours then changed slightly -appeared to have acquired a 'washed out' tint to them!

Ok, tried it again (just in case I'd cocked up) but the same thing happended.

Hhmmm ... I seem to remember that you, LK, recommended 2.1 to me! Any clues ?

ok export all frames from bif then make copy of one of the bmp frames call it 21 recompile to bif
then open go to frame 21 and add the bmp
you want. It's not perfect but it works better.

    btw flags uploaded
I made them for the 21st faction
but they work best with turky he he
guess who I'm dumping to play the
    Irish he he.

I can do the FREE_01 thing
for mionr factions but I have the
    same problems more or less.

    also f1021.bif goes in campmap\shields\muslim,ect
\shields but it still don't work for me
yet.It works fine with others so I know
I the file I put in are ok.
    any ideas.
