Playing XL mod tonight I started a new campaign. HRE early, normal. 1092 I get invaded by Denmark in Saxony, ok no prob, I garrison for a turn so my big army can hop from Franconia for a counter attack. Again no problem. I reinforce Saxony after taking it back in 1093. Invade Denmark in 1099, Dane's run like ..., but i get a stern Papal talking to. SO I back off and things are kopastetic. Next turn I get invaded by Bohemia and England. Fine. I beat the English froces invading Saxony, done. I pull the garrison/ counter attack manuever on Austria kicking the Bohemians out a turn later while simultaniously going on the offensive into Bohemia itself. Ok... so things don't go so well on Bohemia. The Bohemians are out of Austria but I have to attakc again i Bohemia with forces from 3 directions (Bavaria, Franconia and the army that just retook Austria). So far so good, no I get attacked in 1103 by the English, French, Behemians, and Danes.... WTF... I mean come on. I have barely gone a dozen turns before I am ... slapped from every witch way.

I made the same experience yesterday - started a second campaign with the germans (although my major campaign is as the sicilians but I just wanted to try it as the HRE for fun) and in 1129 I'm at war with the danes, the papacy, the genoese, the swedish, the english and the bohemians. They all attacked me! It becomes more and more difficult to secure my borders and to drive back the enemy from provinces they invaded as my armies are getting smaller and smaller due to a loss of more men than I can train and because I'm running out of money...
Ah yes, of course I'm excommunicated and have to quell rebellions in my homeland.

Hi all, i have a few questions about XL mod so here wo go:
-do i need double install of MTW-VI (meaing will i be able to play VI in MP with this mod on)
-what is the latest version (i dl version mod12 with fix for that)
-how do i install it (it comes in zip file with bunch of files in it)

Yes, XL changes units so it is not compatible with vanilla in MP. Make a copy of MTW directory and install XL there.

2.1 is latest version. You can download 2.0 and update to 2.1 from this thread.

Newest version has installer exe.
