I have just purchased Shogun and I have installed it and it won't start properly. I have all the requirements and have tried reinstalling, rebooting and changing the resolution. I attempt to start it up and then the logo is displayed and it shifts to a black screen flickers and then quits back to the desktop. Any thoughts?

If you're using an nVidia video card, the drivers are probably the problem. The most current release of Detonator will not work at all with Shogun. Release 618 seems to work, though.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure Erado-san will be here shortly... Speaking of which, shouldn't this thread be moved to his tech forum?

Indeed, the most recent Nvidia drivers won't work with the game, you'll have to go back to the old ones, there are links on the tech forum where this should be...

    Go to the Tech Forum...
I'm sure you will find a solution to your problem.
(probably a video card problem... I mean video card's driver problem)
