    Nice work there... ... but your Oda vs. Asai pic isn't working. I'll have to match your beautiful work with... some beautiful character traits? Anway, nice screen shots.

    Well, it looks really good, but in pic 2 the spears seem to be very long. And the swords in the last. 2m long? Good to see at the lying soldier: The sword is longer then he.

    Lol, right but historically accurate...

    The long spears are "Yari", of different sizes... The ones on the screenshots were made to avoid cavalry charge... Check here for more info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yari

    The long swords are "Nodachi", two hands swords also used mainly against cavalry... They were rarely used on battlefield... Check here for more info :

    Hi Hi

    first off those screens all look excellent, if its going to be as good as it looks I can wait just that bit longer the thing that makes Shogun great for me is the detail and atmosphere, so i have a few questions:

    1- Unit cards at the bottom of the screen during battle- will they be re done?
    2- The annoying advisers in the top left corner in battle- new voice acting or removed?
    3- Weather- I loved the snow and the rain and the believably clear sky, but ive since found MTW and RTW to be too murky. Will you be doing anything in that area?
    4- Landscape and stuff- i cant held noticing that the trees on those screens look very european- any chence you'll be doing maples and stuff?

    5- 'Noooblle Looord! Excellentah newsah! Hyou have a Son!' Will we still have those messages?

    Cheers and once again- Great work

    ps- If the trees sound unnecessary perhaps someone could explain how i could make them myself? ive never made a mod before though

    Hi, thank you for your comments... Here's a few answers :

    1- Yes, they are currently being re-done, in the RNJ style!
    2- By now, he is removed...
    3- Not planned right now...
    4-Don't know if we will use new trees... Will ask
    5-There'll be some surprises for the sound...

    With regards to the weather question: Snow and rain are already in RTW/BI. Personally I found the chances of them happening were too low and so I rarely had battles in poor weather. I think the weather thing just requires some tweaking of what's already there.

    Yes.We would have done that,but becouse in the skins the other side of the face mirrors the other,if we would have placed an eye patch to Masamune,the model would have infact eyepatch on both of his eyes,so we decided that the Date Daimyo should atleast have some vision.

    Aha. That makes sense then I guess but having said that the only thing more kick-ass than one eyepatch would be two eyepatches.

    And the next featured Daimyo is Oda Nobunaga! The face is fierce and a bit from the video game, a bit from Freddy Mercury.

    No more Daimyo for now, one of the last units, the Yari Samurai Cavalry, here with Hosokawa colours, equiped with Yari spear, cavalry Tachi, Wakisashi and wearing a Harakami Dô.

    or will the game include more periods than the sengoku?
    and,for the unique daimyos,we need alexander:tw or?

    Generals have specific models in BI so I imagine that although these are made to represent Daimyos they will actually feature as the Generals regardless of whether they are Daimyo or not. Of course this is just speculation...

    Many Daimyos wore more older Yoroi and other types of armor that were less practicle but elaborate. Gaddis these models that had been made from the most famous Daimyos of the clan will represent the family member "generals".We have less elaborate models to represent the hireable retainer "generals.
