Taneda Santôka 07:03 05-13-2007
You'll see when they take command of the
Takeda Fire Cavalry...
Taneda Santôka 15:13 05-13-2007
Just like this old friend,
Takeda Shingen, some leadership for the
Fire Cavalry.
FURINKAZAN. It's an old moddel and texture, but still up to date, I figured I'd post him for those whoe haven't seen
Prom's greatness!
Oooh! Shiny!

I can't decide who i want to play as first though. The Takeda look awesome, I love the Uesugi and I love the Tokugawa.
Taneda Santôka 12:40 05-14-2007
Speaking of
Tokugawa,
Ieyasu is ready to take over any obstacle!

Taneda Santôka 06:43 05-15-2007
But one on those obstacles is the lord of western
Chukoku, born in the
Aki province,
Môri Motonari rises between the rival
Ôuchi Amako and
Ôtomo clans.

Taneda Santôka 16:16 05-15-2007
Even more opposition for
Nobunaga,
Imagawa Yoshimoto from
Suruga.

SnakeTaxi 18:23 05-16-2007
This is looking pretty sound now. I know this has been asked before but is this mod compatible with the Gold edition?
Taneda, I'm liking your little image descriptions:
'Ieyasu is ready to take over any obstacle!'
Its like a catwalk or something (probably)
Ossie The Great 13:35 05-17-2007
I have the gold and have had no troubles with any mod as long as it is bi 1.6 or rtw 1.5 it should be fine i think
Seijitai 01:28 05-31-2007

But there is something hidden in this post... Some kind of tribute...
The first one to find it will receive a special screenshot in his private mailbox... Have a good search !
Seijitai 12:06 06-01-2007
And we have a winner ! Gaddis found the correct answer... The tribute was not on the pics, but on their name...
The second pic, named "
Bandits vs Samurai Squadron" is also the title of a well-known
samurai movie from director
Hideo Gosha
Gaddis received his price...
SnakeTaxi 21:12 06-08-2007
So I have Alexander and barbarian invasion too.
which will be better for running the Mod when it comes out?
I don't know for certain but I'd say that since we're making it for BI that it would be a safe bet to assume it'll work best with BI.
Eufarius 17:36 06-14-2007
hey, has anybody heard from Prom?
WTH awesome I've totally missed those general models! Either I need to be on both TWC and .ORG or you guys need to coordinate your postings better!
And those posts are like, mega-old too. Great work Taneda. I feel like making more textures for you to play with!
Not that this needs to be said as its been said before
but in light of some recent posts
LOVE THE UNIT TEXTURES BOYS
DONT CHANGE A THING
when you create a work of art one is not looking at how accurately one can replicate the thing but to capture its soul
and from the scrrenies Ive seen - thats a lock

Tokugawa Ieyasu...

Mikata ga Hara, 1573
Tokugawa Ieyasu, who usually was careful and scrupulous, for unfathomable reasons acted rashly this time. He openly challenged Takeda Shingen by moving to Hamamatsu, a small and shabby but strategic castle too near to Kai's borderline.
Takeda Shingen commanding his troops

Takeda Shingen brought 28,000 soldiers on the Mikata plains to 'punish' Tokugawa Ieyasu's 11,000. Some Tokugawa retainers were cursing Oda Nobunaga for sending no more than 3,000 soldiers. But Ieyasu decided, not only against the two Oda Captains but also against his own clansmen's objections, to meet Takeda Shingen face to face in battlefield.
At around four in the afternoon, the arquebusiers opened fire. Ieyasu may have expected his superior weaponry to defeat Shingen's tactical attempts. Shingen then let loose his famous cavalry charge; his horsemen raced towards the gunners, and overran them; some of the Tokugawa men stood firm, but many withdrew or were killed...
Takeda's mounted samurais engage their enemies

For Tokugawa Ieyasu and his bodyguards, things are going bad...

Really Bad !

Tokugawa's Teppo Samurais are trying to leave the battlefield
Tokugawa Ieyasu's decision costed the two Oda Captains nearly all their men. Then Shingen withdrew his front line troops, offering them an opportunity to rest; a fresh set of horsemen initiated a new charge, led by Takeda Katsuyori and Obata Masamori. They were soon joined by the main body of the Takeda army, which drove their adversaries into full retreat.

Takeda's Tsukai Ban are the perfect mounted unit for pursuing
These young samurais, mounted on fast horses, are skilled both in the sword and the bow
Ieyasu then sought to re-engage the Takeda army, to free some of his trapped generals, but was persuaded to retreat. When he returned to the Hamamatsu fortress, he was reportedly accompanied by only five of his retainers; the battle was lost.
Engaged in fierce fights with the Takeda Yari cavalry, Tokugawa Ieyasu try to save his life
And finally leave the battlefield with his last retainers...
Nevertheless, he commanded that the fortress gates remain open, and that braziers be lit to guide his retreating army back to safety. Sakai Tadatsugu beat a large war drum, seeking to add encouragement to the returning men of a noble, courageous retreat. When the Takeda vanguard, led by Baba Nobuharu and Yamagata Masakage heard the drums, and saw the braziers and open gates, they assumed that Tokugawa was planning a trap, and so they stopped and made camp for the night. Had they pushed though, it could be argued that they might have taken the fortress.
In the night, a small band of Tokugawa warriors attacked the Takeda camp, forcing them into a ravine, where they lay helpless. The Takeda withdrew the following morning... The End
- Tell me if you enjoyed this post and if you prefer the "normal" screenshots or a "battle post" like this one from time to time...

I prefer battle posts like this one, because its like the original story but then with pics. Short term, i luv it. Great Job !
Seijitai 11:03 07-13-2007
Thanks !
Akeichi Mitsuhide 11:11 07-13-2007
Dont mention it ;)
Nice screenshots. The terrain could perhaps use more hills, some mountains and buildings such as a shrine.

I like it except the bloody background. It gives the impression that the units are hurt and looks messy.
