there any tuts on how to create effects, like musket blasts etc.?? i cant seem to find any but i do know what files to look in, just cnt seem to get it working.

I recently did research into the effects. Im in the process of writing a tutorial with basic explanations for what every variable does. It isnt much but if you hold up a bit it will give you everything you want to know about descr_arrow_trail_effects.txt.

I can. Although i should say that i dont have BI so im still working with RTW. I dont know what if anything is different in BI. Give me some time though as im still trying to work everything out.

The tricky bit with cannon and musket fire will be making the smoke puff at firing, but not having it 'follow' the missile. Current things like flame arrows and burning boulders have the smoke following the missile. This is down to the way the system is designed, and it may not be feasable to make a muzzle flash and smoke.

there has to be a way of making the smoke trail end not long after starting cus something tells the trail effects to end when the flaming weapons explode after all.
plus there is an image by some1 from another mod showing cannon powder blasts.
