    Agreed. i use them both and when i check for spyware i run both back to back, just to double check.

    I use Spybot S&D and Spyware Blaster-which is a nice little utility that prevents spyware infecting you in the first place. You can probably google it.

    Hijackthis.exe is also priceless.

    Hitman Pro is a Dutch free anti-spyware programme that integrates most available freeware such as Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, CWShredder, etcetera, as well as any payware you have installed on your computer. Hitman's own heuristic analysis is excellent, too.

    Another good free anti-spyware programme is the German AntiVir PersonalEdition.

    Hijackthis is indeed important, but so is Pocket Killbox, a little gadget that allows you to get rid of files that stubbornly refuse to allow deletion by normal anti-spyware. Handle with care...
