Thread: Normal unit size better for BI?

Default Normal unit size better for BI?

There's greater lag/memory leak on Large and Huge unit sizes. Especially with those epic 4-stack seige battles against the hordes..

Unfortunately, this is an old problem from RTW (but only gets worse with the advent of the Hordes). The only suggestion I can give is upgrade your processor, video card, and memory, and play on normal or small unit sizes. Night Battles help to pick off one stack at a time

I pretty much got the latest graphics card, processor and I can tell you BI has no lag what so ever. Haven;t had a sniff of memory leaks.

While I have not suffered any problems, after a fairly marathon session with BI on Saturday i quit and noticed it was taking a long time to shut down.

Even after returning to the desktop I checked task manager and saw that an instance of RomeTW-BI.exe was still present and running at 650,000K...

Now with 1GB of RAM on baord this is no issue for me, but it did seem excessive...

I had been playing on huge units and had fough a few of the siege battles against the horde (so loads of units). Plus I have set UNLIMITED_MEN_ON_BATTLEFIELD:TRUE so I may have brought this on myself...
