Ok I am confused.

I was looking at the files for making and adding a new unit. The unit is the housecarl.

When I looked at the texture/men files, I was surprised to discover the housecarl is already done as a peasant file.

Then I looked at the crusaderunitprod file and discovered the housecarl is also listed there.

So if the unit is listed in the texture/men and crusader files, why isn't the unit available in the game. According to the crusader file, the housecarl should be available to the English when they build a castle.

Any ideas????

The housecarl appear as the vikings i think.

Thanks! You are right. The only countries that have the housecarle available are Denmark and Norway. And the vikings are not listed in the crusaderunitprod files. The housecarles must be the vikings.

Although it is funny that the vikings are listed under housecarle in both the texture/men and crusaderunitprod files and yet are titled as vikings in the game.

It's just the plural thats all.
You can change all this as well.
