Fun with Unusual Armies
Hello from a long time lurker but never got round to posting. Having just recently finished a long Numida campaign, on vh/vh which I would really recommend anyone who wants a challenge to try in which I ended up using entire army's of just jav cav which was fun and once you figure out how to use them, they are neigh unstoppable vs the ai. But anyway reason I wanted to post is because I enjoy trying unusual army's. Ive just got BI and wanted to find a new way to play. Lets just say that berserkers are my new love. Not only do the look funny when they attack, they can also seem to annulate almost any ai army as long as they have got some missile support. I just did a battle vs a Balanced re army and it was total annulation.
The romans got to set up on a hill so i moved my army to the right flank, the ai seemed to notice this and began advancing towards me. He sends his mis cav to take some potshots at me while he trys to flank me on my left flank but even through he charges 2 units of cav into a unit of zerkers both units rout. By now the roman army is close enough and its time to let the ai take over... so I click the warcry button and off my zerkers go...
In the end it was about 100 losses to me and 1120 to the romans.
For fun I then tried a non exp zerker fight vs same points value of pesents...
Once I fully learn how to se these Im going to to try zerker only armys in the campain and see how they work. Try them theres nothing like spinning around to send the enemy flying ;)
But this got me thinking, does anyone have anyunusal armys that are very effective?
