Default How Do You Re-skin A Chariot

Hi, i am trying to re-skin a chariot, but i canot find the corect pathway to do this. Anybody out there in Mod land know how this is done. It is for the chariot not the crew. also anyone know how to down load the 3dmax trial thing have been going blind trying to get this to down load. I only want it for a couple of things notably to make make a good late 11th century knight. The spartan in the vanila game could be easily modified.

    With Thanks

    Hello,

The Textures are in the Pak files. So the first thing to do would be to get the Xpak tool by Vercingetorix and unpack the textures.

Rome Total War Modding Tools and Editors

Once the Folders are created by the Tool the Chariot Texture will be found under Data\Model_unit\Textures folder.

Make sure you also get the required DDS utilities and Pluggin, as well as read about how to make our new textures useable by the game.

    Guide: adding new unit textures

    Enjoy!

Edit: Please note these Guides are for RTW up to 1.2, personally I dont have BI yet, but I think they would work well with 1.3 too. As for knights, from what I am reading here, it should be almost the same except that folder references are for BI.
