Default Checking the difficulty of an ongoing campaign

Anyone know how to check the diificulty of your campaign? Or if it's even possible to do that?

My hoplites seems to be killing a bit too much for VH/VH, at least compared to 1.2(first time playing greeks in 1.3)...

    Try with Carthage.

Use Militia and Iberian Infantry and only 1 unit of Round Shield Cavalry and 1 General, 2 Peltasts, no Hoplites against 6 units of Equites, 1 unit of Velites, 1 Roman Archer, 1 Wardogs, 1 General and 4 Hastati.

You will surely see how difficult it is.

    I guarantee total defeat.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

Perhaps you are looking for something like RomeSAGE? This will show the difficulty level (in case you've forgotten or are not convinced), and will also allow you to change it too, in case you're some way into a campaign and are finding it too easy/hard.

PS it works with all versions of RTW including BI.

I'm a bit into my Greek campaign, and I'm not sure if I remembered to set the difficulty to VH/VH :P
Senile? Me? What was it again?

Thanks for the link, that was exactly what I was looking for. If only my damned connection would work properly and download it!

Oh, and I'm quite sure it's VH/VH. I just got my arse kicked hard when I tried to invade southeast Italy, the AI was SUPERB(5-star scipii general btw) and killed off my general and quickly crumbled half my hoplite line in a surprise move when I tought the rest of the battle would be simply stomping on the romans... The Roman line was already sort of crushed by me however, and there were romans and greeks fleeing all over the place... Except to units of Armoured hoplites, which I killed off a lot of Hastati with before they got nailed by a battery of 5 ballistas... In the end, it was a close defeat, with me killing of 1400 of their 2000-man army, and 1000 of my 1200-man army got whacked.

I've NEVER had so much fun in a battle since I bought RTW! The AI was actually outsmarting me!

I have had the same problem too.

It would be nice to be able to see or even change settings midgame.
