I'm not happy with this choice either... While the discussion is up, who would you rather see as Bond? It's hard to find someone who could be close to what Sean Connery was as Bond... The only one I can think of that could fit for the role is George Clooney. IMO Bond should be a slightly older guy who thinks more than he dodges bullets from several assault rifles firing at him, like in the good old days which are gone forever ...
