Thread: IN-GAME changing of settlement names!!!

Default IN-GAME changing of settlement names!!!

Some dude at TWC found out you can actually edit the name of a settlement in the middle of the game... discovered by total accident apparently, did anyone already know about this?

Hehe... Goodbye to some old names... Perhaps I will even begin to rename some cities in the honour of my greatest leaders and generals.

I wonder, if you rename an settlement and the AI takes it from you, will they rename it to its old name?

This is great, nice find by that guy. I've been renaming all my conquered cities to the names of fallen family members. My capitol is now Boz(Thessalonica).

I discovered this in my first campaign. I kept renaming my saxon settlements to later viking colonies. Ebarucum became Jorvik, for example.

This is irresistible, Rome will now be known under one of the names:
    - Barbaria
    - Hunnopolis
    - Vandalia
    or why not Paris?
    Under construction...

Renaming units and cities would be very cool. And generals etc.: )

Is the link only for BI and if so is there a topic for doing it on RTW 1.2/1.3?

    Thanks

No, I named Athens after my first name in real life.
Don't know of you can use numbers.
Maybe I should try it, I just captured Constantinople so it would be a good chance to try it.
