I've had another odd problem with descr_win_conditions.txt. In XGM I have new victory conditions for the Greek factions, which work fine on the vanilla map, but when I try to do the same thing with the Mundus Magnus map it doesn't work.

If I just put in the default conditions (take_rome etc) then everything works fine. But if I try to use take_regions and hold_regions then on the faction selection screen it reads "Sack settlements [region]" and it fails to recognise the number of regions entirely.

    It doesn't happen to me.
In the faction selection screen I see the names of the regions set as objective and the number of regions stablished as victory condition.

In the faction pannel (when faction button is pressed), the number of regions appears again, and there the names of the settlements in the task regions appear.

How many regions do you put as objective? Inmy campaign, as the number of regions is lower than the vanilla imperial campaign (76), the maximum take_regions is 40.
Did you try to put only one regions as objective? I don't know if there is a limit in the number of regions. I usually put only 4-5 task regions.

Which possible victory conditions are there, by the way? I don´t have BI, so I can´t very well look it up there...

Monkwarrior: I solved the problem I was having. It turned out to be caused by an error in text/strat.txt. Strange but true. :)

I'm not sure if there is an effective limit on the number of objectives, but the maximum number of province/settlement names that will appear on the faction selection screen, and in the faction info scroll, is 11. On the Mundus Magnus map I have the number of regions to take as 70 - which seems to work fine.

Ciaran: You can see the possible conditions in the second post from the top.

Yes, but are those all that exist?

As far as I can tell that's it. You can specify the total number of regions and you can specify up to 11 named regions.

Thanks. What about "outlive_faction", does that only work for short campaigns?
And, by the way, is there a fundamental diference between Imperial and Provincial campaigns?
