RTW 1.3 Victory Conditions

Monkwarrior: I solved the problem I was having. It turned out to be caused by an error in text/strat.txt. Strange but true. :)

I'm not sure if there is an effective limit on the number of objectives, but the maximum number of province/settlement names that will appear on the faction selection screen, and in the faction info scroll, is 11. On the Mundus Magnus map I have the number of regions to take as 70 - which seems to work fine.

Yes, but are those all that exist?

As far as I can tell that's it. You can specify the total number of regions and you can specify up to 11 named regions.

Thanks. What about "outlive_faction", does that only work for short campaigns?
And, by the way, is there a fundamental diference between Imperial and Provincial campaigns?

Yep, only works for short campaigns. As far as i can tell there is no significant difference between imperial and provincial campaigns apart from the name. You don't get an option to select a short campaign with provincial campaigns. But IIRC - you can go to the imperial campaign screen, select short campaign, and then go back to the provincial campaign.

This is my file for victory condition of RTR Platinum. What I want to ask is, while when selection faction screen listed exactly as I include in the descr_win_condition.txt , while in actual campaign, when you click the faction icon and see the victory condition, it is blank. Shouldn't the victory condition say something like Take Rome and 20 other settlement (as in vanilla) or something ? If my format wrong ? Any help and explaination will be most welcome.

Is my format wrong to make it not appear in the campaign ? Or is there any other file I need to update to synchronize with the updated win_condition file ?

The in-game victory condition portion of the faction scroll uses images to display the victory conditions. They are stored in the "ingame_maps" folder in the campaign folder (see the BI campaign folder for examples).

Text will only appear in this section if you are using the vanilla victory conditions ("take_rome" and/or "imperator").
