    Default General Dies

    Hey everyone.

I was just playing as the Egyptians and the funniest thing happened. I was fighting on a bridge and I had my general charge across. Well, the bridge must have been slippery because he slipped off and died. He ended up on the bank. It was hilarious!

Those bridges can be death traps!

I pin the enemy on the bridge with war dogs and then fire arrows at them. Once they get through the war dogs they face heavy infantry at the end of the bridge. I wait until the enemy is beaten before sending troops over as I find my unilts can panic.

I have seen enemy units charge into the river, but never had a general who wanted to be an admiral.

What is this? Can anybody slip off of bridges in MTW? This is new to me.

I know they die if they walk near water. This only happens on my custom battlemaps as they're unstable to be played on.

God, how hilarious. It has happened to me a few times, but not to my general though, to my calvary and always!. I send them across the bridge and somehow, they all decided to take a nice little swim and all gallop into the river and kill themselves. Its quite amusing to watch them. Luckily, I seldom rely on my calvary at bridge battles, the infantry and the archers do a good job of helping me win the battles!

That does sound funny. I'd like to see that as long as it isn't a good general of mine. I fought a bridge battle yesterday during the winter. It was snowing. You'd think someone would slip off and die, but nope. They lived.

    Ausculta mihi! Tibi dico!
