Yes, the Gallo-Roman Syagrius ruled north-western Gaul around Soissons as Dux until 486. His 'kingdom' was overthrown by king Chlodovech (Clovis) of the Franks. I agree that the date of 476 as end date is a bit conservative. It also gives you a sense of urgence as you advance through the game as it is only about 230 turns long.Originally Posted by g3n
