There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Yeah I noticed that a little while ago. Possibly more nonsense from Shambles? Or at least I heard it was from Shambles, happy to be proven wrong as always.

Yes - it is from Shambles. The pathetic little freak seems to have the urge to make a complete fool of himself

Lol, this is great! I found the house i first lived in after i was born
tis in Elm drive, finningley, South Yorks
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
    I have become comfortably numb...

So far I am the only Belgian who's added to the map.
When I look at the map, it seems that the UK will be overcrowded very soon. Good luck, guys!

EDIT: yes the Florida entry is still there, it's not funny at all!

Itas actually a bit sinister this, I just zoomed right in on my entry in London, and its put me only about 1/3 of a mile away from where I actually am. (I don't think that is giving too much away since about 3/4 of all the lawyers in London, together with about 500,000 other people, are within that radius of my flag)

But all I told it was "London". So it must be able to tell where you are from your internet connection. (sorry if that's old news, I didn't know they could do that)

That could actually be quite bad if you lived somewhere small so the location was pretty precise.

Removed him again. Unfortunately, I can't ban people, only remove them and I can't check the map every minute so we'll have to live with him popping up every once in a while. I think it's best to send me a pm when you spot him, no need to ruin this nice thread talking about him, he's not worth the attention.

Mouzafphaerre you pretty much nailed it. Perkele! is pretty much like GAH! it haves both negative and positive meanings.it depends on context.

I'm not sure about that, it was miles off for me.

Wow quite a few people near me in Manchester. I don't actually live in Manchester but when asked the generel area I live in I allways say Manchester. Any way for all the Mancunians I will give you a clue I live in a small town quite near to Manchester that begins with K. King canute was meant to of crossed a river there (as if, stupid people trying to make the town sound better) and you can do not to much there as it's a very small town. Well any guesses?

I found it odd that the city where I live (which became a part of a larger city) was on the map, and actually appears before Ottawa does when zoomed out, but wasn't recognised as a city at all when I tried to add myself.

I like. Me added. I went to edit my original shoutout but it just added the second set of text . Now I look like a gahnatic.

The ultrazoom doesn't reveal my actual whereabouts very well. Not that I'd mind ... someone trying to find me would be a nice exercise in zanshin; I have been rather remiss of late. Besides, the 2-year-old Terror Incarnate's screech is high and loud enough to pierce the eardrums of any would-be invader, and they'd be turned to stone by the sheer beauty of the 5-year-old Deva Princess. If the 7-month old Lil Buddha just ate, beware the extremely volatile gas and subsequent toxic dump (how does something so small make such a BIG, NASTY smell??!!). If they managed to survive that, well, the master is a damn good lawyer, and then there's me (I'm so butt-ugly that even Gawaine would beat me in a Mr. Handsome contest ; even an insane person would run away screaming).

Very, very cool. Nice to see so many nearby. Drisos: you look like you're close to Kas. If I ever get to Europe, you can bet I'll be stopping in to see him, and if you're nearby, it would be cool to rendezvous. I won't be there for a while though, so by then you'll be old enough to join us for beers, babes, and ... whatever else suits our fancies at the moment.

    Hey drisos,
it seems we're farther apart than I thought.
I feel pretty alone with my neighbour Ser Clergane.
It would take about 2.5 hours to drive there.

Most excellent thread Tokai, and a well-deserved sticky! Consider me added, looks like Dutch_guy's the closest. Is there a way to edit the profile? I'd like to add a picture.
