Can't mod descr_strat.txt!

I reinstalled RTW and now when i change anything in descr_strat.txt i can't play campaing as when i press start campaing it reboots me in the single player menu! It looks like a modding security. Even if i change the ammount of money or playable factions! Please help!

Are you using -show_err in the command line to launch the game? That should give you an error pop-up that will (hopefully) identify your problem.

No modding security present at all. The game is crashing because of something....and using show_err will help to pin it down.

Assuming you have EVERYTHING standard and teh game runs OK...it must be down to what you are changing.... which....incidentally...you have not given any detail on. Might be a good place to start.....

See if you can load campaign with original desc_strat file (hopfully you did back it up before making any alteration).If not...well,you might need to reinstall RTW unless someone can send you original file.
