    Default Well...

    I guess I ought to say good bye to all you folks. I could do a nice long teary "and you Scarecrow, I'll miss most of all", but screw that. It's been fun, but it's a new regime and all that. I had thought I was going to use this really cool quote from Full Metal Jacket, but you know, Tosa & the moderators work really hard to make this place worthwhile. I don't want to bugger that by being a punk.

    So, goodbye. Have fun discussions. Remember, if you're not sure which way you feel, lean left.... less warnings that way.

    Soly, you win dude. Have fun.

    Farewell and adieu to you, Spanish ladies,
    Farewell and adieu to you, daughters of Spain;
    For we've received orders to sail for old England,
    But we hope in a short time to see you again.

    We'll rant and we'll roar like true English sailors,
    We'll rant and we'll roar across the salt seas;
    Until we strike soundings in the Channel of old England:
    From Ushant to Scilly be thirty-five leagues.

    We hove our ships to, with the wind from southwest, boys,
    We hove our ship to, deep soundings to take;
    Twas fourty-five fathoms to the white sandy bottom,
    So we squared our mainyard, and up Channel did make

    Now let every man drink off his full bumper,
    And let every man drink off his full glass;
    We'll drink be jolly and drown melancholy,
    And here's to the health of each true-hearted lass.

    I'm a brand new rookie member of this respectworthy, top quality online community.. Take my words for serious or neglect me, but...

    I'm fed up with things going on recently. Yes, everyone has the right to leave as well free are they as to join, but not everytime we have intellectual patrons here. I'm a regular one, I must repeat.

    If there are really some issues being focused on one of the moderation members, I think we'd better try to solve one really "problem". This is intending to be a backroom debate, by the way. At least after my reaction...

    I simply don't want Don Corleone going anywhere. That's not such an easy "cry after" or "farewell" stuff. One forum has members that give its value. Moderation without anyone (or worth) to moderate would be meaningless, you see.

    Clayton was tried harder to be kept as a member. I want Don Corleone back in the forums. No one won ever anything, Don Corleone. If there is a result, it's a loss, for the whole Org.

    Regards..

    Farewell, Don. May we meet again in better times...

    May the road rise to meet you,
    May the wind be always at your back,
    May the sun shine warm upon your face,
    The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
    Until we meet again,
    May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

    I guess you are talking out of your rear-end. We will miss you a bit, but you will miss us a hell of a lot more.

    So I'll just repeat to you what I tell my 8-year-old when he gets into a fit of rage again and threatens to walk away cause he 'hates' me: 'If it makes you happy, go away. But don't hang back, make sure you stay away and never blame other people for the choices you make.'

    Couldn't you have waited until he actually returns, like you predict he will, before being so condescending, Adrian? Sheesh.

    It is true. Don Corleone is going to miss us more than we will miss him. That is why he has been saying goodbye for ten days now. Humphrey Bogard did it in ten seconds in Casablanca. What is America coming to?

    Despite what soly claims, this is his first post in days.

    *shrug*

    Just seemed a bit discourteous, but I guess it's water under the bridge. I really doubt he's coming back.

    Don Corleone is not just saying goodbye, he is asking that we pity him because 'Soly won'. I can not respect that, sorry. This thread doesn't belong here anyway, I hope mods will move or lock it.

    It was a mod who moved it here.

    Congratulations on your award, btw.

    Regards, Don Corleone. I have enjoyed your participation here. I also understand your decision.

    My first post at the Wolves forum way back when was an indignant one, defending a close friend and group leader who had been baselessly insulted (I wasn't asked to; it's just in my nature to do such things). After speaking my mind, I declared that I'd never post there again, and I haven't. I have friends among them, and just communicated with them in other ways. Indeed, may your resolve be firm; there are many other cool "places" to hang. Respect--whether your style is like mine or not ... .

    What really bothers me is that we, Backroomers, are beginning to overstay our welcome at the .org if we pursue each other all across the .org and continue filling forum after forum with our personal attacks and ugly recriminations. The self-importance of some Backroom visitors never ceases to amaze me.

    Where did this happen other than in the Watchtower and Backroom- which are the approved places for such?

    Don, was a good contributor to the backroom- it'll be a little more dull without him.
