    Badr: I did! Wallah!

The Shamshoon story popped up sometime in the last couple of weeks on the newswires. The funniest thing about the "Shamshoons" is that they had quotes from Arab Simpsons fans (who presumably watch it on satellite TV) who are really annoyed and depressed that they ruined their favorite show by making it "not funny". The voice actor who does Omar was described in the article I read as the "Robert DeNiro of the Islamic world".

They also cut out all the bar scenes because they didn't want Omar hanging out in a seedy bar with "lowlifes".

I wonder what they'll do about all the scenes where the Simpsons are in church? Will they just cut them out, or will they draw little minarets on the outside of the building?

    You mean unlucky me..

Show sucks, Aurelian beats me to it, but its not funny.

Its an attempt to arabise the show to garner more people to it, but even if you don't understand a smattering of english you'll enjoy it more than the arabic show, becuase in all honestly its lame.

He doesn't go to bars yes, but whats the difference between a bar and a haneh or whatever they call it in arabic? its still seedy and full of lowlifes as well.

Kahk is also the arabised version of Cake, well its basically any run of the mill cake, notice the pronounciation?

Also Huneidi guy, robert de niro my camels dung, hes horrible.

Only redeeming factor is Badr, the voiceactor does it in a very professional way, but its still crap.

Everything from the show is unchanged, its just dubbed, and replaced with different words that are arab "friendly".

I'm sure some Arabian prince was watching his HDTV on a million channel cable. He zapped Simpsons, he liked it. What's more he had so much money that he could spend irrelevantly. The all-golden Limo was not as enjoyable as Simpsons were and so he wanted to have an Arabic verison of Simpsons..Total crap..(no offence, faisal)

... Well, Turkey is absolutely a treasure for social and politics fun. Imagine you're living in a country like this..

No offence taken, its just that arabic dubs are just horrible in general. The guys who did the arabic simpson are the MBC which are owned by an arab prince(Its saudi owned, but the CEO is egyptian, the dub is in egyptian accent btw), so you ain't far from the mark yourself

EDIT: had to cut down on quote.

On turkey, Turks know how to find solutions at least (referring to the first 2 pics), Arabs on the other hand, they are too lazy, they need someone to do it for them.

Also is the 3rd pic real? they fixed the guy or did they seriously trash him?
