Need help with finding a music cd or genre

About 14 to 15 years ago, my dad picked up a Malay Traditional cd made by a Malaysian airline company when he was, uh... on a business trip for the Agency. I was expecting a more... traditional approach to the cd (IE: primitive drums or flutes), but I was surprised to find it was very musical and very modern, something you would expect in maybe a late-70s to early-80s cartoon movie. The music was beautiful, and unfortunately the cd was lost in time. Can anyone help identify this, or know of any links where I can find this on sale? I have a Rhapsody account, so even pointing me in the direction of an artist helps.

Try the Google groups. There are plenty of rec.music.xxx and alt.music.xxx groups over there, where xxx stands for Indian, Arabic, Persian... why not Malay?
