Default The ghost of Christmas past

I'm probably quite a bit older than most .organs, but I'm sure many of you will remember some of these. It would be interesting to see how many of these products reached around the world.

BTW my all time favourite when I was a nipper was the 'spud' gun....truly a classic

There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

That's excellent. I had some of them when I was little but others are old enough that I received hand me down versions from uncles(who had received them as gifts when little).

I had all the original GI Joes. The best of all of them was the spacesuit GI Joe with the Mercury space capsule.

I'm 15, and I remember 97 (Weebels?) and 96 (Test Cricket). My grandma even has number 88 (the hedgehog).

Guess Who? was a great game.

    I rember Zoids and Transformers...

And of course, those board games like Connect 4 (how dumb is that?) and Guess Who (the band should have sued)...

Ah Silly Putty... I always played with it at my Grandma and Grandpas house...

although such was the magnitude of Transformers-mania that there was even an animated feature film, boasting the disparate vocal talents of Orson Welles and Eric Idle
Wait, Eric Idle was in that?

The majority of those are still in the shops today , though they have changed a few little details , like not having the gear stick on the Chopper in a position where it could damage your prospects of ever having children .

I had the Merlin... it was quite a good gadget for its time.

I setup a siren sequence on it and set it off while dad was driving. He was looking around for the cops

    Dungeons and Dragons

    Chutes Away

    And of course a bike.

I've had some many of those, or had friends with them...

I still have a spud gun - I like to terrorise my flatmates with it.
Don't have any aspirations - they're doomed to fail.

    Rumours...

Pocketeers ! I used to love them. Clockwork Gameboys, what twisted genius would have thought of it?

I wonder if I could find one anywhere. It would be a handy thing to have when Assassin Junior complains about not having the latest Nintendo megathing. "Eee, when i were a lad..." etc.

I could get computer battleships out of my mums loft too, huh, that should shut up any complaints about the slightly less than perfect graphics on MTW III (the computer battleship's AI would still be far superior though)
