For the early campaign, I would like to give AI factions better rated generals. Is there a file that can be edited to do this?

Also, where can you edit the starting dollar amount for the AI?

Are there any settings that can be edited that will make the AI more hostile to the human player?

Any suggestions anyone can think of to make the game much more challenging would be appreciated!

The biggest advantage you can give the AI is money so improve farmland is the way to go. The better generals dosen't work well for the AI as they use autocalculate & if you ever watch teh AI when it invades a province(not owned by the player) it will invade with the minimum force needed to achieve its goal. Therefore if a province is lightly defended the AI will send its general by itself & he will win but their might be a revolt next turn & he will retreat which will give him a whole load of bad vices this will make the Great AI general worthless when facing the human.
From what I have seen of the way the AI uses it cash it is unable to build up a reserve as its is constantly building or producing units, thats why we propably see the pesant hordes as teh AI is using every single florin at end turn
In my latest mod i've bumped up all farmland & given at least 1 Iron deposit to all factions & i'm going to rasie theprice of pesants to 1000 florins to see what happens...hopefully it will work
