Golden Horde in Custom battles?

Everyone knows how to play them in a campaign, but when I attempt to play them in a custom battle the game crashes after I select their icon. Its greyed out to. Anyone know how to play them in a custom battle?

Apparently if you use any minor into major faction (except I think an activated Burgundy) - Aragon, Hungary, Golden Horde, Sicily, Swiss, etc. - in custom battles or GA campaign you will crash your computer. Experimented with it last night and crashed about 3 times. Not good at all.

BTW is there any way I can disable the GA button or option for my War of the Roses mod?

Actually you should be able to use golden horde units in anothers army if you set the owner of the golden horde region to say france for example and then make the units buildable by the french, Cant remember the name of the region but its not on the map just in the text files, Hmm id say thats your best bet, Did you try this in the late game?

One of the lands of noiwadays Russia allows the building of Mongol Warriors by anyone, try and see which one they and which buildings are needed to accomplish it, then choose a faction your want to be able to use the units and edit the campaign text file.

I edited the late startpos and picked late custom battle Swoosh.

I will try that method Baltic thanks, but the only problam is that the other factions can't build the 2 best Mongol units, Mongol Heavy Cavalry and Mongol Horse Archers.
