this was kinda funny or something but in my newly started Seclucid Campaign i allied with all of the provinces around me , including egypt and a few turns out after wiping some rebels taking a province from rebels i knoticed 2 egyptian armies stationed right next to 2 of my settlements... i was like wth... so i figured they were trying to get me mad at them... i remembered my allies were also allied with them so attacking my ally the egyptians might put me at bad terms with my allies so i waited it out... several turns later the egyptian armies ran home... Wimps :P course i have a fully stacked out army right there with a couple units of elephants so :P
so any tips... cause i think i gotta expand soon and the only place i can really conquer without upsetting anybody is over by ionia and i cant get my army there easy... tho lycia looks ripe for the picking my garrisons are pretty strong in my homelands and being seclucid i rock against city attackers due to phalanx... sorry i just blabbing
backstab egypt, they'll backstab you anyway + they get really irritating troops later on ( pharoahs bowmen, and guard ) + they get the time to churn out chariots...
So break the alliance, secure your cities in the North ( pontus ) , and then go on to plunder the nile.
Once you have destroyed the egyptians, you have almost certainly won the campaign, and don't need allies
Go for Egypt. Betray them when it's early...
well they attacked me...so did pontus ... i pushed egypt back to 5 provinces and Pontus thanks to what i'm beginning to think blessed by the gods hoplite militia in Sardis they havent been able to move 2 feet against me plus 2 forts stragicly placed mean they cant do anything to me down in petra i have 2 armies converged on a egyptian army which ... i hope... will weaken them down so bad ^^ the greek cities are also trying to take sardis... but like i said... blessed by the gods hoplite militia
You're making me want to play a Seluecid campaign...
Oh, yeah, Welcome to the forums!
anyone remember "all your base are belong to us"

that is not fake ... that was so funny though the egyptians were down to 4 provinces and i was about to asault another one of there cities and they actually had the nerve to try and get me to be there protectorate
yeah they did that to me once too, naturally , I destroyed them the turn after.;)

Is this Secludid any close to Bartix?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

I find it better to take out Egypt early before you deal with Pontus (any Alliance with the Ponts will last longer anyway).
lol when they did that i told them to become my protectorate or i would attack... and when they didn't accept well The last egyptian family member died... ironicly killed by one of the egyptian family members i had bribed out... but anyways heres a little "short story" whatever
----
Sand storms to the east grew closer as the battle dragged on; the Egyptian Pharaoh made his last stand but he was captured, He and his men was mounted on poles and the archers were brought in front of them; the bows were aimed the arrows alite and they were loosed... and thus the storm blew in.

dont even be allie with Egpyt in the Selucid campaign, it is a waist of time, they always backstab you, so you my asswell i guess, be there ally, and get your armies camp outside there cities and dare them to backstab you, that is what i do lol.
