    Question My own mod

Hello there, I am going to mod RTW to suit charcters, places and stuff that I have created that one day I plan on writing a book, or series, about. This is kind of ambitious because I have little modding experience but I think at the very least it would help me flesh out some stuff. Well technically the very least would be if it was just a good way for me to screw around and avoid writing altogether but I digress. I had started to do this a while back but just gave up from the sheer enormity of the work that would need to be done.

Anyway the point is that I wanted to say hi and warn you all that I will be having many, many questions and would appreciate any help I can get. The mass of information in this forum is almost as mindboggling as the actual work so a point in the right direction would be helpful. Mentors welcome as well though!!

First off I think that I will just mod the current factions into my own making the characters and whatnot so that I can playtest the changes and then move on to map editing and whatever else. I am not terribly worried about making skins for units or what have you because I tend to stay in on the campaign map when I play and let my generals do their job. Yes this leads to a lot of frustration when one of them does some bonehead isht but that's life. Does this sound like a good way to start or am I going to trip over something down the road?

    Many thanks

    Well, succes!!!

I wish you the best, and we're waiting for it.

As for other things, I suggest giving us some more info about your mod, and start recruiting members(skinners,modellers,coders,mappers...) to make it a big mod, and finish it faster....

If you want a big mod, you cannot do it alone....

    Hope this helps.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

Thank you but no I don't want to start anything big. I want to do the stuff myself and do it right. That's why the stages, since it's just me.

Now, I got on here to ask a question and I have forgotten. Man! This could be longer than I thought if I smoke up all my brain cells. Oh! About religions. How and where can I edit them? The Deities and the attributes of the priests? Has anyone made a manual or have any great tools?

    Check out the scriptorium

    This thread in particular:
    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=54858

And its good to see someone willing to take on a mod themselves and do the work themselves if necessary, even without any modding experience. Why? Coz thats exactly how I started off. I started modding WoT for MTW without any experience whatsoever and on my own...

    Wecome..

If you need help with graphics, you can ask me.. I usually do modells and unit's, but since your not cocerned with that, you can ask me about userinterface, eventpictures, factionsymbols and all that. Not so mutch videostuff, but the graphics ingame isn't that hard to change, and gives you a bether feeling of playing in the world/timeframe your mod is intended to have.

Good luck, and feal free to pm.
