Has anyone posted a unit stats guide for BI? I'm curious to see the unit list and stats.

Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.
Almircar made a new version of its army builder for BI. Download at the usual Almircar site...
Louis,
Who? Does this have the stats? I don't have BI, but I'm curious to see what sort of stats the armies have.Originally Posted by Louis de la Ferte Ste Colombe

This must be the page he's referrring to:

I'd prefer to get the unit stats in spreadsheet form, but haven't found one yet.
I'm also wondering if anyone knows how shield wall affects the stats.
I've created a spreadsheet of the unit stats in BI if you want it... http://savefile.com/files/8956118
It was pulled out of the relevant files by a macro I wrote, which I can provide if needed (it should work for other mods/versions as well).

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. I thought somebody might have one working online with graphics. Doesn't looks like BI has made it that far.

Thanks, Nihilist.
Just what the doctor ordered.
Hi Nihilist,
The link you have is broken!
Can you fix it please?
Thanks

Changed link.
Thanks
I'm still trying to find a description of the movement speeds for various units.

Just one old soldiers opinion.
We need MP games without the oversimplifications required for 'good' AI.
You would most likely have to find what skeleton they are using. That sort of info is in descr_model_battle.txt in RTW. While it doesn't give the actual speeds there are some interesting things of note in RTW 1.3:Originally Posted by SpencerH

I've tested and there are now four speeds (plus camels and elephants.) There are also new "semi_fast" and "slow" models in use for a number of skirmishers, swordsmen and the like. I haven't done any "races" for these yet, but I'm pretty sure that it use do be just "fast" and vanilla. No "slow" or "semi_fast."
I doubt that speeds have been changed for existing skeletons. Instead, I think new skeletons were added to slow things down incrementally.

I also looked for the any info with respect to the shield wall capability and didn't see it.
I couldn't even see a parameter that indicated which units were capable of it, let alone how it affects the unit stats.
The manual says it gives a "massive defense bonus", but makes them vulnerable form flank or rear.
