Default A testimonial from a recovering spammer

I would like to talk to you about a terrible habit that has afflicted the org. It is a disease, a sickness, a nightmarish habit called... spamming.

Once, I was much like all of you, a healthy, productive member of the .org. Then, one day, I was struck by the idea, why spam? Not I, I thought- meatwad does not spam! But the idea stuck with me. As time wore on, I became less adverse to it. Finally, the urge grew to be too much, and I gave in to temptation. I posted a purely spam post. I do not remember where it was, or what it was, but I recall it was elating. It was a wonderful feeling of freedom I had not before experienced. I was hooked... on spam.

My habit quickly escalated rapidly. Very soon, I was posting 20, 30, even 50 percent of the time for the pure purpose of spam. Eventually I was posting nothing but spam, and in terrible quantities. I had become a spammer. I ceased adding any meaningful posts. The only reason I am so close to 1,000 posts now is because of this terrible habit. And then, one day, as I lay in a puddle of my own vomit, as I commonly did after a furious day of spamming, I saw what I had become.

Since then, I have reformed myself however I can. I am still incapable of posting entirely meaningful posts, a probably permanent side effect of the spamming. I have found Solypyst, and this has helped a great deal. But I can never return to where I was.

My friends, be not tempted to cross that terrible path! Do not succumb to spam! It may seem innocent at first, but it will soon ruin you! Learn from my failures, so that you may be a better Orger!
