need help (Sahara)

Did one of you get sahara (africa) working ?I set the infos in SetNeighbours and SetBorderInfo and give it to the almos. I can build buildings, troops and ships, but I cant move the troops in or out sahara. The only thing that works is sea transport, but only out of sahara. Does someone now what i did wrong ???

Yes! In fact I did. I posted about it a while ago, but maybe that was on the official board. I'll send you the mod if you get me your email, and I'll try to upload it, but I can't figure out this system right now.

Unfortunatly, I don't remember the exact steps, I did to make the mod. I do remember that in addition to the mod, you can go to names.txt and change {"Africa Castle"} to {"Marrakesh Castle"} which make it a little more authentic.

When I look into the zipped file the file has last been changed 2002. Is that really compatible with the Medieval: Total War Gold Version that includes Viking Invasion?

Yes, it's based on the early startpos file from MTW v1.x, rather than the one from VI v2.0x.

It looks correct, but not sure why there is a connection to a sea region. You don't need that, so remove the associated neighbours, border info and port position.

It's many years since I enabled Sahara, created/modified provinces, or edited those files. If you do the edit yourself, you must at least set the border info, the "neighbours", origin, attributes, title (governor) and castle position, otherwise the province will be unreachable or the early/high/late campaign won't appear at all due to errors in the file.
