    Default Army Movement question...

    Hi All!

Just wondering if anyone knows how to see an army's route of travel before carrying out movement.

Right clicking on occasion when it seems pretty straight forward, sometimes gives a simple movement that might take one turn, become 5 turns or something via alternate route due to E army nearby, difficult terrain or whatever. And it carries it out immediately offering no recourse to an alternate movement plan. This annoys me. A lot.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Click and hold the right mouse button and move in the direction you want the army to go. It will draw a line on the ground.

Just do it to the end of the green and act accordingly. Pax Romana has been delayed many times due to ambushes becuase I wasnt careful with my moves
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

It's useful to watch the move too, if you are moving through "foggy" areas - keep the hand near to the backspace key in case you see a bunch of horde stacks up ahead too, unless your stack is feeling "muscular".

    Backspace cancels movement!

Cool, didn't know that, and that was sort of what I was looking for in my rather jumbled first post.

    Thanks matey : )

No worries! I found it out after several catastrophic ambushes, so I'm eager to spread the word now.

If the end of turn moves (I always seem to forget to move somebody) are painfully slow you can toggle between fast and slow movement by tapping the space key as well.
