Thread: All the *good* modders out there....

Default All the *good* modders out there....

Considering the amount of talent there is out there for RTW and BI I am sad to see that not one of these exceptionally talented people has taken the time to create a modification for BI that allows the implimentation of Mundus Magnus for those that do not have the skills to do it themselves.

I have been waiting for some time for this now and still see nothing. I have not even played BI yet because I hate the tiny map it comes with. I am sure all the good modders have seen many people ask and beg for something such as this but they do nothing. Maybe....the unskilled will get through to them soon....

Why don't you do it yourself?!

All the good modders are occupied with their own mods, their own campmaps, their own units.....

Do it, I am sure you'll be in the group of "good" modders.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

Oh my goodness.... I thought I was quite a good modder...but now I realise I am a worthless waste of time....because I haven't satisfied the needs of one individual

Really ... Lordfoster.... get your head out from up your backside and rethink what you just posted. Why should I ...or anyone else.. make a map for you.

Thanks to some of those 'useless' modders out there, the tools exist to make a big map. It takes WEEKs of bloody hard work to scratch build a map (and thats what needs doing) and no particulr special skills.

Oddly enough...all us modders started off not knowing how to do theses things...but rather than complain about how long we had to wait for someone to do it for us, we learnt how. I suggest you

    a) Learn
    b) Quit complaining. It's our free time and we use it as we see fit.

p.s. You almost certainly won't get a positive response from this kind of post. And this modder won't be helping you out anytime soon.

Considering the amount of money there is out there for some people I am sad to see that not one of these exceptionally rich people has taken the time to give money to those that do not have the skills to earn it themselves.

I have been waiting for some time for a lot of money and still see nothing. I have not even bought a condo yet because I hate dealing with mortgages. I am sure all the rich people have seen many people ask and beg for money such as this but they do nothing. Maybe....the poor will get through to them soon....

One of the aspects of this that has been missed is that the Mundus Magnus map was created by a member of the community (with the contribution of others, most notably the EB team) - Dead Moroz. Without his permission (and the permission of the others listed) no modder is allowed to release a BI version of the Mundus Magnus map.

If someone really wants a BI conversion of the MM map, then something they can do is go around and get the relevant permissions to allow other members of the community to change it. Then contact specific mappers to see if they would be interested.

Posting a thread admonishing exactly the people whom you're trying to get to help you, I'm afraid, is going to elicit exactly this kind of response.

This thread is locked for now. If any mapper wants to take up this project then I would encourage them to do so, and they can post a new thread in the Forge for development purposes.
