    Default Increasing Mongol territory question

    Hmm, hope I posted this in the right place.

    I asked this once before but I forgot the answer. I want to make most of Asia into Mongol states, so that they are the most powerful on the board. I want to be the English and play defence to their invasion. I don't need a true 50/50 split of English and Mongol, but I would like to have most of Europe as English and most of Asia as Mongol. Something along those lines.

    Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Whichever era you want to play it in, open up that text file in the campmap/startpos folder and rename the various province owners (search for SetRegionOwner:: ) to FN_GOLDEN_HORDE and FN_ENGLISH. Make sure the Mongols are properly added (SetActiveFaction::, SetTreasury::, SetStartLeader::, PlaceLeader::, AddHeir:: )

    Kekvitirae,

    Thanks.

    Not sure I understand the "Make sure the Mongols are properly added (SetActiveFaction::, SetTreasury::, SetStartLeader::, PlaceLeader::, AddHeir:: ) part.

    My modding skills go as far as increasing the ammo count for the English Longbowmen. More than that and I get... confused.

    Isn't the emergence of Golden Horde hardcoded? With that said, if we set all the crap "properly" then they won't emerge like they should in 1320 with army the size of the current occupying army. Don't you think so?

    Beirut, add in the following lines to the era text file (I like to keep it all nice and ordered, so I put them where the others of the same kind go)

    Code:
    SetActiveFaction:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE		FT_MINOR
    SetTreasury:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE		10000	8000	6000	4000
    AddOffice:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE			royal_palace			"Lord PedoBear"		  			+2		+2		0		0			0		0			0
    AddOffice:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE			constables_palace		"Lord ShotaCat"  				+2		0		0		2			0		0			0
    AddOffice:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE			marshals_palace			"Captain-YuriBunny"			  		+2		0		0		2			0		0			0
    AddOffice:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE			chancellery				"ScatRat"	  		+3		1		0		1			0		0			0
    AddOffice:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE			admiralty				"Admiral GuroDragon"			  		+1		0		0		2			0		0			0
    AddOffice:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE			cathedral				"Archbishop FurrySheep"				0		2		0		0			3		0			0
    SetStartLeader::  FN_GOLDEN_HORDE 0	1	1
    PlaceLeader:: ID_KHAZAR				FN_GOLDEN_HORDE
    AddHeir:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE 1 13
    AddHeir:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE 1 11
    AddHeir:: FN_GOLDEN_HORDE 1 5
    You can put in any title you want in the quotes for the AddOffice. I just used examples since Mongols dont get any titles originally.
    If you play the Mongols, you will get errors if you delve (right click) on certain buildings (IE: the castle and royal palace). This is because Pagans do not have the graphics for these. Easily solved by (I believe) making a Pagan folder in the Info_Pics and review_panel folders and copying everything from the Muslim folder over.

    Weebeast, you are correct in assuming that the emergence in hardcoded. However, if a faction (Burgundy or Golden Horde, for example) starts already in the game, they wont emerge later.

    That's what I'm trying to point out and hoping that Beirut is aware of that. It'll be a different 'invasion.' It's actually not big of a deal lol.

    Thanks guys.

    As I was trying to explain, I want a huge empire of Mongols to push west and try to take Europe and England.

    Then I want to Agincourt their *** right back across Asia.

    Kekvitirae,

    Can I just cut and paste what you posted? Also, if I alter what's in the quotes for "AddOffice" does it affect the spacing between the numbers that show up further in the text. I'm assuming the spacing between all the zeros and +1 and +2 are all important.

    Sorry to be a dweeb, but this is all way past my pay grade. If it makes any difference, I want to play in the latest time period.

    Press 'tabs' instead of 'space.' Not sure if they're different but tabs make it neater.

    I copied and pasted it directly from the text file, so the code should preserve them as tabs

    Hello Beirut,
    Ive been fascinated with the idea of creating a mod, that focused in on the north eastern Europe (east baltic, slavic, and Hungarian areas to the Caspian Sea) Creating as many provinces as possible, and using sea regions to simulate tradeable and strategical rivers. Id perfer to include conscentrated divisions of the land so that smaller portions of land could be taken at once, rather than entire regions at a time (relying on the decision of only one battle) If youre still interested in mongols vs Christians, im interested too.
