Why is any one pro monarchy....how could any one want some inbred guy with 11 toes to rule you?
I am always left shaking my head after a pro monarch post here.![]()

Why is anyone anti-monarchy, or pro-republic ... how could anyone want a retarded man to rule them, especially if he won an election with 500,000 less votes than the other guy, or can appoint a prime minister outwith parliament.
I'm always left shaking my head after an anti-monarchist posts here.

It was not theirs to make reply,
It was theirs but to do or die.

you can get rid of the leader in a republic/democracy. In the monarchy if you get a guy that does have mental problems from all that inbreeding...guess what you're stuck with him!
Guess what we also have this thing called "freedom" in democracies/republics. If some one says you must warship buda, I don't have to warship buda!
enough ranting
You are pro monarch....what do you think of the magna carta?

I think that it is an excellent thing. Especially Article 61 (or thereabouts) which allows the people to petition the Lords, and if a quorum of Lords support it, then the petition goes to the monarch.
If you have not noticed, the United Kingdom is also a democracy. If we happen to get someone with mental problems, them parliament (or someone) can appoint a Regent to rule until there is a fitter person available for the Kingship. And haven't you heard of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea? That is a republic, but the people still have no say in the leader. We over here may be a Monarchic Parliamentary Democracy, but we still choose who represents us who, in turn, govern the nation.

Most of today's constitutional monarchies are not monarchies at all.
Monarchy = mono, arche
rule of one.
But at least it sounds better then "state with a family of expensive figureheads".
I'd like to see more power to the Federal government and less to the States. I believe it would unify the country a bit more.
