Can't load old save games after BI install

Just a whinge really, as I've checked Sega's web-site and found that "not all RTW save games" (actually none of mine) are readable in RTW-BI - well frankly that's just poor although I guess it may be hard to integrate - still, if my company did that we'd get a lot of outraged customers!

Ho hum, no solution but to uninstall I guess? Is it possible to have 2 separate installs? or anyone know of any tweaks that would let me load them? I haven't finished RTW yet - damn Egyptians, they have no sense of loyalty, I give them food, money, religion and what do they do? revolt of course, I will beat them even if I have to exterminate every last one of them!

Yes, unfortunately savegames from previous versions do not seem to work with the 1.3 version. It was the same with the MTW expansion, IIRC. Backward compatability seems to be a headache for game developers in general with patches/expansions, but it's still annoying.

As for continuing while still having BI, I don't know whether the game allows multiple installs, but I know from experience that it is possible to create multiple versions by simply copying the entire RTW directory to a new location. I have BI installed, but I also keep a 1.2 directory seperately (for mods and such) Obviously that takes a lot of space though.
