After i thought i duplicated all the files necessary for my new unit graphic .bif. I figure out that the name that i named this graphic, will not be recognized with gnome editor, thus preventing MTW to open. Where could i have gone wrong. I tried adding a new bodytype called MongFoot
Coppied Dervish bodytype folder and renamed it MongFoot (both new bif files i changed are called MongFoot)
Created new graphic by changing old /textures/men/bodytype/bodytype_H.bif
>edited it by extracting to bmp, changing images, adding 4 weapons and 1 shield. saving it back to a bodytype_H.Bif file shrinking it 50% to make the bodytype.bif file.
I edited the coordinates for the new weapons and shield in the /bodytype/shields.txt and /bodytype/weapons.txt
Added new units with unit_prod.txt by copying similar units and edited them in gnome to change their body type Using all caps and no extra spaces or punctuations.
>copying the GhaziInfantry_S, and _W.txt and changing their weapons and shield numbers according to the new order i logged into the weapons.txt and shields.txt
I went to the ActionsDiddy and coppied GhaziInfantryX.txt and renamed it (for example- MongolSpearX.txt) I noiced that some of the txts did not have Xs where some did.
I did several other changes that were listed by Duke John's Unit Graphics guide. https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=31893
Where might i have gone wrong, in entering the correct data for MongFoot.
