What's the problem?

One thing seems to be that some people still think postmarking is done by cookies: it's not. Old posts are indeed marked as unread. You have to tell the board you read them, see post 11. Each person has to fix for himself first by pushing a button.

I encounter 2 glitches.
-The board index still displays outdated information at times. That is because of another performance tweak: that information is not update real time, but once in a few minutes.
-When I read a topic, post a reply and return to the forum index, then the topic is marked unread because of the post I just made.

Other than this, I'm not aware of problems. Not saying there are no others, but a bit more information is required to make me understand.

The old method was the least server intensive, this new method is more server intensive and the 3rd (not used) is most server intensive.
