MTW update question

Has a mod been done for MTW similar to Mundus Magnus for RTW, ie a larger map with more settlements, I have XL with more factions but the map is the same size ?

Much apreciated if someone could tell me either way.

I know of no such mod. You'll probably have to settle with more units and factions.

I read some time ago that BKB was working on a project called Eastern Promise, which would extend the map east. However, I don't know if it was a specific project or part of his supermedieval mod, and I don't know if it was released.

As far as I know there is no specific map mod for M:TW, however.

The eastern promise sounds good, I hope it does eventualy surface.

I wonder if CA are considering updating MTW or STW ? along similiar lines to RTW and progressing on RTW advancements.

What do you guys think ?

I made a quick search and it appears the project has been abandoned. BKB said he may continue it, but that was many months ago: Eastern Promise.

They are probably considering it, but I don't think they will. CA has been silent about their future plans, but I don't think they are going to revive old games if the fans are doing it for them (Chivalric: TW & Jidai No Ran).

From my understanding, I read that one of the player-made mods was so well done that it is being used a a basis for the next TW game. This would be of course the Napoleon TW mod. I remember reading it in the lordz forum.

i think its for VI though.

I was hoping an Imperial TW game would be in store next. It's perfect for the engine. There is a TW clone set in that era. Haven't been able to play it but from what I read it isn't as good as it could be. So here's hoping the next TW game is Imperial: Total War.

I remember reading something similar, but I think that if there was any official announcement it would have been all over the forum in no time, so I doubt it was anything solid.
