I beg to disagree. Moderate as strictly as eg. Beirut, BKS or kekvit do (or Gregoshi used to do); deliver warnings and other stuff more generously to spammers and don't reset them and you won't have any spam anywhere.

Huh? What? I dont have the ability to warn anyone officially. The only thing I can do is move threads and lock them. Yes, I'm strict when it comes to the rules, but I'm also lenient. We all are human. If someone fudges up, I'll chalk it up as an accident, but still take the necessary actions. Only if it happens multiple times by the same person will I see it as an actual offense. I dont like locking threads, they disrupt normal discussion, but sometimes these actions have to happen.



It doesnt help matters much that the only people with any real power in the Colosseum have been MIA for god knows when.

Yes and No. Since the official policy on this is sketchy, I made one up.

For the second account, I just apply twice the warning points for an infraction.

Third account - three times the warning points.

Works for me.

From the forums I've been in other than the Org, post count breeds elitism. Plus it would reduce or eliminate the various post games in the Frontroom, which will help with the server's bandwidth.

I support Mouzafphaerre's idea. I even wouldn't mind if postcount disappeared entirely, though it would be harder to see the difference between active and lurking members. Shambles' idea unfortunatly sounds like a bureaucratic nightmare. If reporting a post is enough to red-flag it, it becomes a very powerful weapon for vengefull members. If the mods have to decide whether a reported post is bad, it will result in a lot of complaints like "why was my post marked as bad while so-and-so's incitory message wasn't?". Anyway, what would be the difference with the warning point system?

Honestly, the late "One Word Story" used to be a fun thread to post in last year. I almost never post in it anymore because it's no more a one word story, just merely a spam thread.
