I was musing earlier, whilst listening to some of Syd Barrett's post-Floyd work, when for some reason I happened to remember that I had read that it was entirely possible that Barrett had Asperger's syndrome. Thinking about it then, and listening to his music, it seemed to make sense...

Suddenly, something hit me: Abokasee.

At once, I remembered his inane posts, and bizarre attitudes that seemed to indicate that he might have Asperger's. But not everything he had done could be explained by this- there had to be something else behind the inanity of those posts.

Of course- an acid burnout! It seemed to suddenly be so simple!

Syd was, indeed, a severe case of an acid burnout... and seeing as how he is a shut-in, and probably still half-crasy from pan-frying his brains on all that acid...

In the first place I have been brought up to think it impolite to gossip about someone behind their back. This goes especially for topics that concern someones psychology: such remarks can be really hurt the person in question, both in a psychological and in a real way.

Secondly, I have a close relative that is an Aspberger and while he can act decidely odd, it is not funny. Certainly not for him.

I was not intending to insult Abokasee in any way. He is an unusual fellow, and what is said about him is in good fun.

It might be easier for me to joke and/or talk about someone's mental condition because I, myself, have a problem with Tourette's Syndrome, and I don't give a good goddamn if someone cracks a joke about Tourette's Syndrome, because I am perfectly secure about it. Obviously, you are not.
