Very good movie indeed - a couple of weeks ago I watched the 3h TV version of the movie when it was shown on TV here in Germany

You got a real sense of the impending doom and disaster for the civilians and soldiers alike
This is exactly were the movie excels IMO in showing the waste of life when everybody already knew that the end was inevitable.

Brilliant performance by Bruno Ganz as Hitler.
