    Default Grey Cup Football

This... is football. Not that soccer stuff.

    Starts in three hours.

    Montreal Alouettes. By six points.

There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

I think it'll be a close game. Edmonton and Montreal were picked to be the grey cup teams this year, at my house, and we were kind of pleased (though disappointed that our team sucks so hard) that they made it.

I'll say Edmonton will win it by..oh..one score.

Yep. Bummer we lost. But what a honking great game of football! Long bombs, record punt returns, critical sacks, score reversals, missed field goals, and playoff overtime for the first time in 45 years.

    What a game!

    What a game indeed.

To add to the excitement, some friends of mine had a bet and if the Alouettes lost, one of them had to shave her head. She was freaking out the whole game. The game itself was of course a roller coaster. Those two Edmonton defensive backs each had a shot at the interception to end the game, then it looked like the Alouettes had it in overtime, and she freaked when they scored a touchdown, till we told her that the game wasn't over and Edmonton gets a shot at offence too.

In the end, she came crashing down to earth, and the shears are being sharpened as we speak.

    Fun times.
